Lions & Tigers (L&T) is a UK-registered company that has been active in UK-Southeast Asian business consultancy for a number of years. L&T now has as its primary focus the offering of end-to-end outsourced services for international education recruitment, marketing and ‘smart’ IELTS programs. This means that we can provide a total solution that integrates Marketing, Agency Liaison, Admissions Admin and Student Recruitment into one business process workflow as an outsourced 'on-demand' service.
L&T works effectively and efficiently using a matrix organization, under the general oversight of its co-directors, and contains its business overheads by using SOHO office setups and electronic systems as much as possible. L&T operates a strict frugality policy for international travel and subsistence allowances, and consistently seeks the best rates for budget flights and reasonable quality hotels. These frugality standards deliver proven 75-80% reductions on the costs of a typical 'business class' engagement within Southeast Asia - savings that we can pass on to our customers.
L&T has a small core team but has ready access to an extended ‘virtual team’ of subject matter experts (for instance, IELTS experts) and local resources (for instance in Hong Kong, a high-cost market). The core team is balance of education sector expertise and mainstream business/industry expertise. Two of the team members have extensive IT industry experience, as well as direct experience working in international markets (including China, India, Russia, Korea, Japan, Central Asia, EU, USA, Latin America and Australia). The team members have direct experience of working at VP level in major corporations and also have direct experience with startups and full P&L managemen, so can bring best practices from the corporate world into the management of schools' marketing and recruitment operations.
The team has direct experience in corporate recruitment and graduate recruitment on a large scale and again, we deploy the best practices from these areas in our student recruitment programs.
The key to our service offering is that our team are embedded in local markets. We have a strong representation in the UK, but this is matched with our local consultant capability in or near our target market countries. In addition to local geographic support, we offer multilingual capability: We currently have direct support for ASEAN and China (including Hong Kong), Russia, Central Asia and the Baltics, and will soon be adding support for EU/Switzerland from our Brussels-based consultancy team. We expect to be able to support African recruitment within the near futre (pilot project currently underway).
We offer language support in Thai, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian, Ukranian, Czech, Dutch, French and German.
